Do you have a kiddo that loves travel and geography?  My seven year old loves to learn about the world and she loves new adventures and travel, seeing the amazement and wonder in her eyes is one of my favorite perks of being a mom.  Recently I found this great little box subscription called Little Passports.  It’s really cool.  The main focus is travel and geography.  Each month you get a new travel adventure to explore and learn all about the locations for that shipment.

We just got our first shipment from Little Passports.  It was an introductory box.  So we got the story of how the program works.  We got a fun scratch book that has some fun landmarks to explore, a travel journal to use for future shipments and some fun activities to start out with like a scavenger hunt to explore your own town, a map, and a camera to use on the scavenger hunt.  So you get everything to get started.  Then each month they will send us a new packet with two states to explore.  We chose the USA adventure.  Some other options are early explorers, world adventure, and science adventure.

My seven year old really enjoyed the Little Passports box that we received.  She can’t wait to do the scavenger hunt around town.  We plan to do it over the weekend.  She was most excited that they included a camera for her to use and couldn’t believe it was a real camera.  Although it was a little funny because she is so young that she has never seen a real disposable camera, she couldn’t figure it out and I had to show her how to use it.  She is so used to phones for taking pictures that this was a completely new experience for her.  We can’t wait to get our first state adventures box and continue our adventure.

If you are looking for a great holiday gift Little Passports is perfect.  It’s the gift that they can enjoy all year long.  Every month they will get a new box with new surprises and activities.  I know my seven year old loves to get mail and gets so excited every time she has a package show up.  It’s a great gift idea for kiddos who love travel and exploration.

  1. My favorite state would be North Carolina. My parents were transferred a lot when I was growing up so I have been to or lived in several states. I love north Carolina because you can be on the beach then in the country and even in between within a short amount of time.

  2. Funny because my favorite state is also NC! The most greenery I have ever seen in my whole life; beautiful state and great BBQ! I lived there for a year and a half plus, we would always drive through it between SC & VA.
