I hope everyone is having lots of fun summer days so far this year. We recently had a really fun lake day with a bunch of friends and family. We played in the lake, had a water balloon fight and we also set up a really fun obstacle course for the kids using a really fun Super Mega Active Play Set from Oriental Trading Company. If you are looking for fun summer activities then look no further than Oriental Trading Company. They have tons of fun activities, crafts, and fun toys to make your summer great.
My kiddos love playing outside and being active. When we put together our Summer bucket list one of the first things my kiddos wanted to put on the list was an obstacle course. I went on the search for a fun set that had everything we needed and found this great set from Oriental Trading Company. It had everything needed to make a great obstacle course and will be something we will use over and over again for a variety of fun games and activities. There are so many pieces that you can easily set up different courses over and over again. In fact, the kids had a great time making their own courses and then running through. However, we are looking forward to visiting Alpine Towers soon though. If you think these obstacle courses look incredible then I’m sure you’ll be checking it out in the not too distant future as well!
This set includes:
• 5 deluxe playground balls
• 6 swivel jump rope
• 1- 6-ft. polyester parachute
• 12 bean bags
• 6 wrist rings
• 10 plastic cones
We set up two sets of stations using all the different items so the kids could race against each other like a relay. We kept it simple but the great thing about this set is you can customize it to your kiddos skill level.
The jump ropes are great. We had the kids do 10 jumps before they could move on to the next station.
The ribbons were probably everyone’s favorite. You get several sets of these. We had the kids do different moves with them kind of like Simon Says before they could move on the next station.
The bean bags were fun to play with, they are nice and big which made them easy for the kids to catch and throw. We had them toss them back and forth between teammates to move on to the next relay member.
With the cones and the balls we had the kids kick them through a course we set up with the cones. They had a lot of fun zig zagging through the course.
After the obstacle course we had a few water balloons left so we threw one in the parachute to play toss and catch with. They had a blast seeing who got the majority of the splash when they popped. They loved seeing how many times they could toss and catch it without dropping it. Lots of fun.
Whether you want to get this great set or just use things around your house an obstacle course is a great way to get the kids off their devices and outdoors to play. It’s a great way to get them active and playing outside.
