Nutrisystem Week 51 Update:
Weight Loss this Week: 10.2 Total Weight Loss: -155.0
My Nutrisystem Journey:
I had an amazing week this week on the Nutrisystem program. I feel so renewed and excited about my weight loss journey again. I took a lot of time to work on my goals and how I plan to accomplish them this week. I have so many big goals and I know I can do it. So I am feeling determined. Getting back on track has been a little difficult but I feel so excited about my journey it made the process easier. I am a big advocate for setting goals it always helps me feel more motivated to know what I want to accomplish and how I can get there.
I also had a huge accomplishment this week. I started walking and I actually stuck with it all week. It seems to have made a huge difference. At my starting weight, I could barely walk at all. I always used the wheelchair cart if I went out to Wal-mart as embarrassing as it is. Well, this week I started walking for 15 minutes each day. I decided to do my walking at our local Wal-Mart just because it’s so cold I can’t walk outside and I won’t have to pay a membership to walk there. It felt amazing to walk through Wal-Mart without a wheelchair cart. I know it probably seems silly but for me, this is a huge thing. I can shop again and it feels amazing. I feel like I’m getting my life back little by little every week gets better.
One thing I noticed this week while getting back on track is that snack time seems to be a big downfall for me. I tend to want to grab what is nearby whether it’s healthy or not. With a busy lifestyle, it’s hard to always have healthy snacks on hand. So I did a lot of work on gathering healthy on-the-go snacks to leave in convenient places for healthier snacking. In the process, I decided to share some of my favorite snacks with you.
Tips & Tricks:
It seems like I am always on the go these days, which is really awesome to say after being trapped in my house for over two years. With the kids, work, and now exercise and hobbies I seem to be on-the-go a lot. Having snacks on hand has become a huge necessity to stick to my plan. So this week I put together a list of my favorite on-the-go snacks from Nutrisystem and a few others that I use as my Powerfuels and Smartcarbs on the plan.
- Honey-Mustard Pretzel Bites
- Chocolate Covered Pretzels
- Cheese Puffs
- Chocolate Chip Cookies (actually any of their cookies)
- White Cheddar Popcorn
- Fudge Brownie
These are just a few of my favorite snacks but these are at the top of my list when I am on the go. They have a huge variety on the Nutrisystem program which really helps me stay on track. Whether I’m craving salty or sweet they have it covered. I just throw one of these in my bag and I have a quick instant snack that doesn’t require any prep it’s ready to eat.
- Apples and Almond Butter
- Cheese and Wheat Crackers
- Hummus and Veggies
- Ants on a Log (celery with peanut butter and raisins)
These are just a few of my favorites to keep on hand. On the Nutrisystem program, you have two snacks during the day that consists of Powerfuels and Smartcarbs so these are some of my favorite things to keep on hand for my snacks. What are some of your favorite on-the-go snacks?
