Nutrisystem Week 47 Update:
Weight Loss this Week: -1.2 Total Weight Loss: -144.0
My Nutrisystem Journey:
Well, I was really hoping to lose more than 1.2 this week, but that’s just how it goes sometimes. I have two weeks left on this journey to try to reach my Christmas goal of 150 pounds on Nutrisystem. I am working really hard this week to make it happen. I have six pounds to go in two weeks, it’s going to be really tough but I have faith I can do it. With the easy diet plan that Nutrisystem has provided, I feel confident I can do it. As long as I stick to the plan Nutrisystem has made it very easy to lose weight every week.
I have been really focusing on the number on the scale lately and then this week someone asked me what other benefits I have noticed from losing weight. It reminded me that there are more important things than the number on the scale. I think the biggest benefit I have seen in the change in how I feel. When I started Nutrisystem I was pretty much secluded to my home and even within my home to the couch. Walking at all was difficult and usually left me out of breath with a racing heart rate. I really had no life at all. If my kids had an event I missed it because I couldn’t stand or walk for more than a few minutes. Now that I have been on the program I am regaining my life. I can now leave the house and do every single day. I can go to my kid’s activities again, in fact, I just went to a program tonight. I feel like I am able to live life again and it feels amazing. I have Nutrisystem to thank for that. So no matter what the scale says on Christmas morning I’m a winner because I have my life back.
This week I am focusing on identifying the things that have made me successful over the last few months. I do want to reach my goal so I want to do all that I can to reach my goal the next couple of weeks. How great will that feel on Christmas morning?
Tips & Tricks:
This week I took a moment to look at what has worked for me over the last eleven months to help me be successful so far. I think the simple things work the best. Just focusing on my goals and taking the steps to reach them daily. So I decided to write out three things that have worked for me with my goals.
Write Them Down
The biggest suggestion I have for reaching your goals is to write them down. I have a planner I keep and I put all of my goals in my planner. I keep track of the short-term and long-term goals and the steps needed each day to reach them. I track everything in my planner. I frequently review them as well and make sure I’m on track. Being able to visualize your goals helps me out a lot.
Re-Evaluate Your Goals Monthly
Each month I take time to re-evaluate my goals. We all know that things change over time. It’s been almost a year since I started this program so my goals today are not the same as they were when I started this. Heck, when I started the program I didn’t think I’d lose anything or very little but I sure surprised myself. I would have never guessed that I would lose 150 pounds though in one year so my goals have evolved throughout this process. My goal for the year when I started was nowhere close to 150 pounds but as I completed month after month it because visible.
Take Time to Celebrate Your Successes
One of the most important things I do each time I reach a goal takes time to celebrate it. I have a list of weight loss wishes that include things I have not been able to do when I was overweight and would like to do now that I am losing it. They are just fun things that I used to do or always wanted to do but my weight kept me from it. As I reach goals I mark things off my list. It’s a really fun way to celebrate and it’s so validating when you can do something you haven’t been able to do in years. Whatever you like to do to celebrate make sure to take the time to pat yourself on the back when you reach your short-term goals. It’s a great way to validate your progress.
