Nutrisystem Week 34 Update:
Weight Loss this Week: -2.0 Total Weight Loss: -112.6
This has been a great week. I have noticed that I am able to do so much more lately. For this reason and because I haven’t celebrated my 100 pounds just yet I decided to check an item off my weight loss wish list to celebrate my success this week. It’s so important to celebrate the positives and motivate yourself to keep going. Especially if you have been dieting for a long period of time. It’s so easy to get discouraged, on Nutrisystem though I feel like I have a lot to celebrate.
My Nutrisystem Journey:
This week has had some ups and downs. I have noticed myself slacking in the areas of measuring things and sneaking little bites of things I know I shouldn’t have. So I plan to work on that this upcoming week. I don’t want to get lazy in my weight loss. Make sure to tune in next week for tips on avoiding being lazy on your diet. I plan to get myself back on track with measuring and avoiding negative foods.
On the positive side though, I have also noticed that my energy level on Nutrisystem has gone way up in the past couple of weeks. I have noticed that I can do a lot more and that I want to do a lot more. For about two years I felt stuck in the house so being able to go out and be active is one of the biggest blessings I have had so far on Nutrisystem. It has given me back my life.
When I started Nutrisystem one of the goals I wanted to accomplish was being able to spend more time with my family and live more. I don’t want to just exist stuck in bed or on a couch while I watch my kids and my husband lives life without me. I want to be an active part of my kid’s lives and enjoy watching them grow older. So being able to get out has been the most amazing thing that I have achieved so far on this diet. It makes me so happy.
Weight Loss Wish List:
If you follow my blog then you may have heard me mention my weight loss wish list. I decided at the beginning of this journey that I would need to find new ways to celebrate that did not involve food in any way. That is when I came up with the idea of my weight loss wish list. The weight loss wish list is a list of activities and things that I have either avoided or was unable to do because of my weight. When I was writing it I realized just how much my weight has held me back. My goal is that every time I have a success to celebrate that I will do that by crossing an item off my wish list. You can see my weight loss wish list here.
To celebrate my new found energy and to celebrate losing 100 pounds on Nutrisystem I decided to do number 7 on my list which is going to the movies and enjoying a movie with my family. Now, this probably sounds like no big deal to most people. It really shouldn’t be difficult to go to the movies but for someone, my size in a world made for average size people it is not as easy as it sounds. I don’t fit in the seats comfortable (in fact in some cases it’s so painful I can’t do it), there are usually stairs, walking in the dark is a little scary for me because I don’t want to fall down, and then there are all the worries about stares or rude comments. So getting out to do something simple like going to the movies is something I have avoided for a long time. It has been over 2 years since I’ve gone to a movie.
So this weekend me and my husband really wanted to go see the movie It. I was a little anxious about it but decided I was going to go and cross an item off my list. It was something I really wanted to do and wanted to spend some quality time with my husband. We went to the theatre, I had no problems getting to my seat (I wasn’t even out of breath), and I fit in the seat just fine!! I was able to enjoy the movie and had a great time while there. It may seem silly but I felt so free in that moment. It felt amazing to feel normal and do a normal activity with my husband.
What successes have you been celebrating lately?
