Nutrisystem Week 28 Update:
Weight Loss this Week: -2.8 Total Weight Loss: -101.2
I did it! I have officially lost 100 pounds on Nutrisystem! I can’t believe it honestly it seemed impossible when I started and now it’s here. I think I have said this before in blog posts that if you had told me I would love 100 pounds in 7 months I would never believe you but here I am. So this week I am celebrating my success. I still have a lot more to lose but I want to focus on how well I’ve done rather than worry about how much further I have to go! This week I am focusing on what my next goals will be and celebrate the ones I have reached.
My Nutrisystem Journey:
So as I said it’s hard to believe but I did it. I know I am not the only one out there that has a lot lose, multiple hundreds of pounds, but sometimes it can be discouraging. Not this week though. When I saw that scaled hit that mark for 100 pounds lost I cried with joy. That scale is always making me cry, I cry when it doesn’t say what I want and now I cry when it does. It is so exciting to hit a major goal. It seems so overwhelming and far away so when you finally make it, well it seems like you can take on the world.
The good thing about that feeling is that it makes for great motivation. Seeing the success on the scale and know that I was able to hit that first big milestone is an amazing feeling that gives me a ton of motivation to keep going and lose the next 100 pounds. Success is one of the best motivators for me, it really helps me feel encouraged and grows my self-esteem.
Off the scale, I am hitting goals as well. I went in for my 3 months check up with my doctor this week as well. My bloodwork looked great. My blood sugar is managed and in control on the diet. My blood pressure was normal which is awesome. My doctor was amazed at not only my weight loss but my overall health. She is excited to see me continue on the program and so am I. So going into the next phase I decided to set down and do some evaluation and goal setting for my next goal.
Oh, my isn’t it just crazy to see the difference? Sometimes it doesn’t seem like I’ve lost until I look at the pictures then I’m reminded of how much I have lost.
When I started I took some time to set up some goals. My overall goal is to lose 350 pounds. I know it sounds like a lot but I know I can do it. To not feel overwhelmed I set up small goals to strive for along the way. My first small goal was 100 pounds. So reaching that feels amazing. That leaves me without a small goal though so I wanted to take some time to set up a new goal.
Since 100 pounds is a nice round number and worked out well for me this last time I decided to shoot for another 100 pounds as my small goal. So my next goal I am striving for is 200 pounds. Of course, I will have mini goals along the way. Goals for each quarter, each month, milestones, and more. It’s always exciting to celebrate a success and keep myself going.
I am still celebrating my goal achievements with my weight loss wish list. So I will be choosing something off the list to do to celebrate soon. It’s so important to celebrate (in a healthy way) when you reach a goal. The wish list works for me because it pushes me to try new things and serves a double purpose of getting me up and active. So I am excited to trying something on the list to celebrate!
How do you celebrate your successes?
