Nutrisystem Week 27 Update:
Weight Loss this Week: -1.4 Total Weight Loss: -94.0
I need to preface this post with the fact that I am very happy with all of my weight loss on Nutrisystem. I may sound like I am frustrated and upset in the blog post but I know I have lost a lot and I am very happy with my progress. We just all have those weeks I think. Those weeks that no matter how well you do on the diet, no matter how much work you put in, and no matter how hard you try the scale just won’t move. I’m having one of those weeks. I have been stuck at the same weight for over a week and a half and I just can’t get it to move. After losing so much so quickly you just get accustomed to the scale moving and when it doesn’t you feel like something must be wrong. So this week I am focusing on overcoming diet frustration.
My Nutrisystem Journey:
So as I said, I have been stuck at the same weight for over a week now. I try not to weigh in too much but usually, I weigh in a couple of times during the week to see where I am and then do my official weigh in on Mondays. I usually lose throughout the week but the last week and a half I have been stuck at the same weight. I have been sticking to the Nutrisystem plan, just like I have been. I’ve been working hard to not cheat or have anything I know I shouldn’t. So why isn’t that scale moving? It has gotten me to the point of frustration this week.
I have to be really careful when I get frustrated because I tend to fall off my diet plan when I’m frustrated. I don’t know if I’m the only one but I get that thought in my head that says “if you’re not going to lose weight you might as well eat what you want”. That thought gets me in so much trouble. If I let that thought take control I will be off the diet and gain weight back in no time. So I have been looking for solutions to get that pesky thought out of my head and overcome this frustration.
When you have a lot to lose like I do there will be ups and downs so I am trying to learn how to roll with the punches. I did a little research to find some solutions to overcoming diet frustration. I have been working hard this week to stay focused and on track.
Tips & Tricks:
Increase Your Water Intake:
Sometimes adding water to your daily routine will give your system a boost and jump-start your weight loss. Added hydration is linked to feeling better, more energized, and is healthy for your body. It’s a win win! Plus sometimes our body will signal we are hungry when we are actually thirsty. When I feel cravings coming on I always drink a bottle of water first to reduce my hunger and to see if it’s hunger or thirst. I have added an extra 24 ounces of water to my daily routine. Hoping to see some benefits!
Spice Up Your Snacks:
I tend to get in this rut where I have the same snacks and extras on the Nutrisystem plan every day. So I start to notice boredom and my body gets used to my choices. Sometimes mixing up your snacks will add some fun and variety into your diet. Leaving you feeling excited about the plan again and give you a change of pace. Plus a change in diet can help change up your metabolism and kick start your weight loss.
Evaluate Your Goals:
Take some time to evaluate your goals and the progress you have made. I tend to get really frustrated when I look at things in a small way. If I just focus on what I lost that week which has been slow this week I will get super frustrated. Instead I try to take time to look back at all the accomplishments I’ve had and my overall weight loss. When I look at the big picture it gives me new appreciation for all the hard work I’ve put in. It’s a great way to get excited about your weight loss and stay on track.
I hope you find these helpful. What do you do when you get frustrated?
