For me, one of the most important purchases for Back to School when it comes to my teenagers is a good quality planner. My 16-year-old has so much going on. Between classes at both the Vo-Tech and High School, all of her activities and work schedule it’s really hard to keep track of her schedule from day to day. I recently found this really great planner from Ink+Volt that is perfect for her. It has a great layout where she can keep track of everything she needs to all in one place.
It has a great hard cover on it so it’s really durable and well-made. So it will hold up well to being thrown in a locker, a floor of a car, or lost in a backpack.
They have some great layouts in the book. You have a yearly look at the front of the planner so you can quickly find dates. There is a monthly layout for each month in the book that allows you space to put in highlights for the month and make some notes. The weekly layouts are my favorite though because you can really break down your day. They divide each day up into morning, afternoon, and night so you can quickly glance at your week and see when you have blocks of time open to schedule events. There is a ton of space to write in your activities and it’s really simple to use and follow.
They also include some really great goal setting pages. I am huge on goal setting so I love this. They have a layout for setting goals for the month and week. You can really stay on track with your plans and make sure you are moving in the right direction to reach your goals. They even include a yearly review to evaluate your goals at the end of the year. My absolute favorite though is the 30-day and 31-day challenge pages. You can set up a challenge for yourself each month and track how well you are sticking with it.
There are little bookmarks built into the pages which I think is a nice touch. They include two so you can mark two different spaces in the book.
