Not long ago I got some rainbow colors put into my hair, ever since my 8-year-old has been begging me to let her get color put in her hair. Of course 8 years old is a little too young for color, so we have been trying to avoid the topic. Then I found this great set called Hair Chalk from Quarto Knows. It came at the perfect time too, Halloween! If you are looking for a fun and easy way to put color into your kiddos or your hair that isn’t permanent, then you have to try this.
The set comes with everything you need to quickly and easily add fun colors to your hair. You get 12 different colored chalks you can use to on any color hair. They also include gloves to keep your hands from getting colored. There is also a book on the inside with directions and different techniques to try out.
The process is really easy. Just take a small strand of hair and twist it. Then rub the chalk in a downward motion to apply the color. Avoid doing an up and down motion so you do not get split ends. We were not having a lot of luck getting the color to transfer so we used the regular directions instead of the light hair directions and wet the chalk. Once we wet the chalk it worked really well.
You can do small highlights throughout the hair or take your time and add color to a large section. It’s really fun for Halloween. My daughter is going to dress up as Mal from Descendants and wants purple in her hair so this will be perfect to give her the fun purple color she wants. The best part is that it washes right out. She had a small amount after washing it once (you could barely see it) but it was completely gone after two washes. Even with her light hair. It’s the perfect way to let them have fun with color either for Halloween or just for fun without any permanent effects.
