Are you looking to work out or get healthy in the New Year? “60 Second Sweat” by Patrick Striet, CSCS is a great resource for anyone looking to add exercise to their routine that will not take up your entire day. I am definitely one of those people who dislike exercise, I find it to be more like a chore and I try to avoid it. I know that to be healthy though I need to find an exercise program I can stick with so I decided to try out 60 Second Sweat. I find it really easy to follow and since the exercises are short and there is a huge variety I don’t get bored!
They included a great tracker. I’m a list maker and planner so the tracker was a great addition. Really helps me keep track of and plan my workouts.
They provide you some great sample workouts that are really easy to follow. You can always customize them but this is a great way to get started with the program. There is a schedule and easy to follow list of exercises.
The last part of the book is full of different exercises that are used throughout the workouts. Each workout element is only done for 60 seconds. This allows you to keep your workout fresh and reduces boredom. The total workout depends on which workout you are doing and how many reps, you can really customize it to your needs. I am currently doing a workout that takes me about 15 minutes. I am really enjoying the different exercises and so far is has really kept me engaged.
