This week for Family Game Night we played a super fun party game called Utter Nonsense that is full of accents and tons of laughs. It’s great for a large group or family of four. So much fun and we haven’t laughed this hard in a long time. It’s sure to keep you entertained all night long. We also had some really yummy popcorn from G.H. Cretors. They sent us a variety of their yummy popcorns to try and they are so good. Perfect game night snack food.
Utter Nonsense is just that, a fun game that is silly and just plain nonsense. The game is really easy to play and will leave you laughing out loud all night. Make sure to brush up on your accents though. Basically, all you do is read a card but you have to do it in funny accents that will leave the entire party in stitches. Plus the phrases are so funny that even if you were not reading them in funny accents you would still be laughing at the phrases. It’s a ton of fun and the perfect family or party game. We played the family edition which is new, they also have a naughty version available for adults.

Who Would Enjoy This Game:
This game is designed for ages 8 and up. You can play with 4-20 players. Honestly, I don’t think there is any limit on how many can play though it may get kind of long if you have very many players. Be mindful of your kiddos reading level, my 8-year-old struggled a little with some of the reading. However, it’s a fun game that doesn’t really keep score so we just helped her figure out the words she didn’t know. Just about anyone would enjoy this. It’s so funny that our entire family had a blast and was laughing through the entire game. It’s great for a large group too and works great as a party game.
Is It Fun:
Yes, it is really fun. The phrases are really silly and funny and then when you add in the accents it just gets hilarious. The more the players get into the process the more fun it gets. It’s great with a crowd cause you get so many different versions and phrases that it just cracks everyone up. We laughed for hours playing this one.
Gameplay is very easy. Pull out the accent cards and shuffle them. Put them in the middle of the table so everyone can reach them easily. Deal 7 phrase cards to each player (you can look at them but don’t show other players).
Choose the judge that person will not play that round. The judge will turn over an accent card and read it out loud. Give the players time to choose a phrase card. Take turns reading your phrase in the announced accent. The judge will then choose who they think did the best job. That person wins the round and keeps the accent card. Keep playing until someone has collected five accent cards.
I do not have any concerns with this game. Some of the phrases are a little borderline on appropriate for younger kids but I didn’t have any that I thought were a problem for my 8-year-old. They are all family-friendly though. Just be mindful of being able to read them since some words are a little tough for a younger player.

What is G.H. Cretors:
G.H. Cretors is all about popcorn. They say that popcorn is their life and they are dedicated to making the best popcorn on the market. In my opinion, they succeed at that. They make yummy and delicious popcorn in a bunch of different flavors that are organic, non-GMO, and 100% gluten-free! It’s amazingly yummy and the perfect party or game night food.
They all taste amazing. My 8-year-old is in love with the mix. It was a big favorite. We call that Chicago style around here but it’s a mix of cheese and caramel popcorn. It sounds weird but it’s so good. The popcorn tasted great and the flavors are so full and yummy. One of our favorite snack foods.
