Thanks for coming back this week to check out our family game night post. This is our second family game night and we are really enjoying sharing our game nights with our readers. This week we had a circus night with Oriental Trading Company and made some yummy drizzled popcorn.
We were able to find everything we needed for our circus themed game night at Oriental Trading Company. As a mom one thing that I truly love about Oriental Trading is that I can get everything in one place and it's shipped right to my door. They make themed game nights, parties, and events so easy and convenient. The games were a lot of fun, we got four games and two sets of prizes for our game night.
Monster Bean Bag Toss:
This game is adorable. The kids had so much fun with it, it was the hit of the night and their favorite game. Comes with six cans, each one has a fun colorful monster face on it. Also comes with three bean bags. No assembly required just set them up stacked on top of each other and then throw the bags to knock them down. So much fun!
You can find it on Oriental Trading Company Website. Only $11.99
Toss The Ball:
Toss the Ball really fun, the kids really got competitive with this one, trying to top each others scores. The game comes with the base and four ping pong balls. There is some assembly required on this one but it's really easy and can be done in about five minutes. Simple make the grid and secure it to the base. The pieces are all cardboard but are really sturdy once it is all built. Makes for a great fun game night.

Of course you can't have a circus game night without ring toss! This one was a favorite for everyone, very easy so the entire family could enjoy it but also challenging so the older kids had fun with it too. The kids made up their own variation and did a tic tac toe version using the different colors and the rings. Each player took turns trying to ring three bottles in a row, each player got a different colored set of rings so you knew who had rung each bottle. They spent a good amount of time playing it and really enjoyed the challenge. The set comes with 12 plastic bottles, 12 rings (6 of each color) and the base. There is some assembly required, it only took about five minutes. The pieces are made of cardboard but very sturdy once it is built.
You can find it on the Oriental Trading Company website. Only $22.99
Carnival toss was a lot of fun. The game is pretty simple just set up the cat pieces and use the bean bags to try to knock them over. It was a lot of fun to see if you can knock them all down and who could do it with the least amount of bean bags. The game came with the board with the cat faces and five bean bags. No assembly required. The board is made of wooden pieces so it is pretty sturdy and well made.

You can't have circus games without prizes.... I found two really great toy and candy sets from Oriental Trading that made perfect prizes for our carnival game night. One was a bulk set of small toys including clappers, poppers, balls, rubber duckies, small toys, and more. The other set had some really fun colorful suckers that were perfect for a circus theme, they look like something you would find on the concession stand at the real circus. The kids loved the prizes and had a lot of fun playing with them the toys too. In fact the spent a good amount of time playing with the poppers and laughed so hard setting them off and seeing where they would fly.

Your favorite popcorn (we used Jiffy pop-microwave)-prepared
Chocolate (we used Numans Own)
Prepare the popcorn as directed on the package. Spread it out on a cookie sheet in a single layer.
Melt the chocolate and almond bark either on the stove or in the microwave. We did ours in the microwave just put it in a microwave safe bowl and heated it for a minute, stirred, heated it for a minute and just continued the process until it was melted.
Pour the melted chocolate and almond bark over the popcorn until covered. We just drizzle ours over rather then covering it completely.
Put in the fridge and allow to cool. Serve once cooled.
This is one of favorite snacks. It's the perfect combination of salty and sweet! We hope you enjoy it too.
