This week for the family game night we played a new version of one of our favorite games Watch Ya’ Mouth. You may have seen our post last year featuring Watch Ya’ Mouth Throwdown Edition. We had so much fun playing the throwdown version that we had to try out their new WWE version. If you are a fan of wrestling then you are going to love the funny and silly sayings from your favorite wrestlers. Plus Watch Ya’ Mouth is hilarious to play no matter what you are trying to say. It’s a blast, we had a great time playing.
Watch Ya’ Mouth is a fun game that will have you laughing so hard it’s difficult to play. Using the included mouthpieces you will try to say funny phrases with the mouthpiece in your mouth. It’s almost impossible without cracking up. Try to get your teammates to guess what you are saying (exactly as written on the card) to score points. And I dare you not to laugh!
In the box you will find:
Deck of Phrases (included 200 WWE-themed phrases)
10 Mouthguards (6 regular, 4 small)
Who Would Enjoy This Game:
Watch Ya’ Mouth is designed for ages 8 and up and you can play with up to ten players. It’s a great team game for a party or a large group to entertain. We loved it as a family game night and it’s one of those games that is enjoyed by all ages. It’s hard to find games that everyone in our family enjoys because we have a large age difference, but this one fits the bill. Teenagers love it, younger kids love, and so do the adults. If you like fun and goofy games this one is perfect. Also, if you are a wrestling fan then you have to check this one out!
Is It Fun:
Yes, we laughed so much while playing this game. Trying to pronounce the words with the guards is so difficult and leads to a ton of funny noises and facial gestures. I think we laughed harder than we had in a long time. So if you are in need of a good laugh this one is perfect for you. Everyone looks so silly with the mouthpieces in that you start to laugh before you even start to play. Super cute game.
Gameplay is super easy. Simply split into two equal teams, we did teams of two since we had a smaller group but you can do larger teams. To set up the game simply shuffle the cards and place them in the middle of the table so everyone can easily reach them. Set the timer in the middle of the table as well so it’s in view of all the players. Every player choices a mouthpiece. They have included larger ones for teens and adults and smaller ones for younger kids.
On your turn, you will get 90 seconds for the reader in the group to read the cards to the other teammates. Teammates will try to guess what the reader is saying and shout it out. You must say the phrase exactly as it is written on the card to count. Sounds easy, however, it’s not so easy to say the phrases with the mouthpiece in. When they guess a card set it aside. Keep reading cards until your time runs out. For each card, they guess you score 1 point. The team with the most points at the end of the game wins.
No, it’s super fun and the entire family had a blast with it. Just remember to wash those mouthpieces before you put it away so the next time you play they will be ready to go with no germs on them! I washed ours with regular dish soap and rinsed in hot water. I wasn’t sure if they were dishwasher safe so I didn’t try them in the dishwasher.
