Tonight for Family Game Night we finally have our 8-year-old back so we decided to have a bunch of family fun and laughs with the new throwdown version of Watch Ya’ Mouth. If you love funny silly games then you have to try out this game. It’s so silly we could not stop laughing. We also got to try out two new super yummy mini donut flavors from Tastykake. We tried out the blueberry and birthday cake and they were so yummy.
It has been a long time since I have laughed as hard as we did while playing Watch Ya’ Mouth. Wearing mouth shields you will perform super funny and silly tasks that should be easy but become almost impossible with the mouthpiece. Things like saying simple phrases or directions, blowing a tissue, or trying to hum a song with the noise makers. With the new throwdown version of the game, you go head to head with another player to compete and see who wins. It’s fast paced, full of fun competition, and a great way to spend some time with family and friends being silly and goofy.
In the box you will find:
5 Adult Mouth Pieces
5 Children Mouth Pieces
1 Deck of Throwdown cards
1 Deck of Phrase Cards
2 Ping Pong Balls
Who Would Enjoy This Game:
Watch Ya’ Mouth is designed for ages 8 and up and 4 or more players. I love it because it’s enjoyable for all ages. My teenager loved it, my 8-year-old loved it, and my husband and I loved it too. So if you have a wide range of ages playing this is a game that will be enjoyed by everyone. It’s a lot more fun the more players you have. You will need at least four but can play with up to 10. So if you have a large family or large group this is a big hit for a party game.
Is It Fun:
Oh, my gosh yes it is so much fun. We laughed so much playing this game, which by the way is kinda hard to do with a mouth piece in. It’s so funny and silly doing all the different tasks with the game. It’s funny just seeing everyone with the mouthpieces in actually, everyone looks so silly. The throwdown version is really fun because you get that competitive aspect trying to beat the other person. We really had fun with our smack talk which made it even more fun. We really enjoyed the game and enjoyed all silly tasks.
Gameplay is very easy. To set up the game give each player a mouthpiece. There are bigger ones for adults and older kids and small ones for younger kids. Make sure to wash them with warm soapy water before and after use. Shuffle both decks of cards and put them in the center of the table. Lay out all the gameplay pieces where they can easily be reached by all players. Put the die and the timer in the center of the table as well for easy use. You will need paper and pen to keep track of each players score as well. Some tasks require household items like a tissue, pen and paper, etc. If you don’t have exactly what you need then improvise with what you have on hand.
Once you have everything set up and in reach, you are ready to start. On your turn, you will choose a throwdown card. Read the instructions, each kind of card is a little different. You will be asked to choose a partner or opponent. Simply do what the card asks you to do. It might be getting your partner to perform simple tasks like saying a word or touching their nose. You may be asked to draw a picture with a pen you hold in your teeth. The card may have you choose a phrase card that will give you options on phrases to be read to be guessed by your partner. You never really know what you might draw, there are so many tasks and each one is fun and silly. The player that is able to complete the task first gets the point. Keep track of who has the most points to see who wins.
I really don’t have any concerns with this game. It’s a great amount of fun for the entire family. I will make note that it’s really important to wash the mouthpieces before and after each use. The last thing you want is to pass on germs from player to player. They are really easy to wash though and just takes a few minutes. Other than that it’s easy enough even younger kids can complete the tasks and it’s fun and full of laughs for everyone.

What is Tastykake:
Tastykake is one of our favorite snack companies. They have so many yummy treats in their product line and they are always trying new things. My kids love their mini donuts for snacks or breakfast so they were a natural choice for game night snacks. One thing we really love about Tastykake is that they are dedicated to leaving less of an imprint on our environment. Their factory has been awarded LEED Silver Certification. LEED stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design and it is awarded by the U.S. Green Building Council. LEED is a rating system for green buildings. So not only do they have amazing snacks they are doing their part for the environment.
We tried out two of Tastykake’s mini donuts for game night. They went really fast with my kiddos. They are super yummy and always a big hit in our house. We tried out the blueberry and birthday cake donuts. They were super yummy. If you want a quick snack where you don’t have to make anything but will taste amazing then these are a great grab and go treat.
The blueberry donuts are amazing it’s like having a muffin and powdered donut all in one. Really full and rich blueberry taste that will have your brain thinking you are eating a home-made blueberry muffin. We loved them. They are perfect for a quick snack food at your next game night or party.
The new limited edition birthday cake donuts are so good. It’s the best way to have a little celebration with you snack. Full of colorful sprinkles and they taste amazing, just like a yummy piece of birthday cake. What’s more exciting and happy than birthday cake?
