Thinking Putty Puzzle by ThinkFun:
Overview:
Thinking Putty Puzzle is a single player game that uses really fun putty to solve logic puzzles. The game comes with several pre-set puzzle cards that you solve using the starting prompts on the card. The cards increase in difficulty so as you master the game you can solve harder and harder puzzles. It’s also great because it makes the game enjoyable for a variety of age levels. It’s a great game, especially if you love puzzle and logic games.
What’s Included:
- Crazy Aaron’s Thinking Putty (6 colors)
- Puzzle Grid
- Puzzle Grid Base with Thinking Putty Storage
- 3 Bridge Pieces
- 3 Blocker Pieces
- 60 Challenge Cards and Solutions
- Instruction Manual
Gameplay:
The goal of the game is to connect the different colored putty pieces without crossing over any other colors. To start setup your gameboard using one of the included puzzle cards. Each card gives you a starting layout, where to put a ball of putty on the board. Then using logic try to figure out how to connect the matching colors without crossing the paths of the other colors. The exception is the use of bridges (these will be marked on the puzzle card if they are supposed to be used in that puzzle). There are also blocker pieces that will block our path and make things a little more difficult. Pretty easy and fun.
Fun Rating:
We gave it a 5 out of 5 stars because of a few different reasons. First, it’s a single player but can also be played as a team so it’s versatile. It can be played by a variety of age levels. We love puzzle and logic games and this one is a new take that we had not seen before. The kids love playing with slime and putty so it was fun just playing with the pieces It was a big hit in our house.

SmartPhone Trivia Dice by Continuum
Overview:
Smartphone Trivia Dice by Continuum is a fun and modern take on classic trivia. Using their free smartphone app you will compete with each player to solve trivia questions on the app and collect six pieces. It’s fun and customizable creating a fun playing platform for a great classic game. If you love trivia and logic games it’s a great one try out. The best part is that you can easily travel with it and take it anywhere you go.
What’s Included:
- 1 Trivia Dice
- Instructions
- Free App
Gameplay:
The gameplay is very easy for this game. Simply download the app from the app store. Once you have the app input the number of players and have each player choose six categories from the 12 available. You can have as many players as you would like and customize each players experience by choosing your favorite characters or you can use random as well. Now simply roll the die, scan it, and a question will appear on the screen. That player answers and it will let you know if you got it right or wrong. If correct it records your points and you go again. If wrong no points are earned and it moves on to the next player. Keep playing until one player has collected correct answers in six categories.
Fun Rating:
We gave this game a 3 out of 5 stars. We gave it a 3 because we had some difficulty getting the die to scan which was frustrating at times. It may have been the lighting in the room but we did have some frustration with that. Also the simple app design. It is fun though and they have a lot of different trivia categories and lots of different questions. We love the ability to customize each player’s gameplay as well.
