This week for family game night we played a really fun social skill and action game called Sunk from Winning Moves. It’s a ton of fun, involves strategy and gets the kids up and moving. We also enjoyed a yummy new snack The Little Kernel, cute little popcorn kernels that were the perfect game night snack food.
Sunk is a really fun social skills game that get the family communicating and interacting with each other. Lots of action in the game with the cards, you will be hopping on one foot, singing songs, and trying your skill at adding water to the cup in the sunk tank. It’s fast paced and full of laughs.
In the box you will find:
1 Sunk Tank
1 float cup
1 set of challenge cards
Who Would Enjoy this Game:
The game play is designed for ages 10 and up and for 2-4 players. I would say that it’s really suitable for all ages though. Our eight year old absolutely loved it. So even though the age range is set at 10 I would say that it can be enjoyed by younger players. It was challenging and fun enough that the entire family enjoyed playing. As a mom with a wide age difference between my kiddos I am always a big fan of a game that both my eight her old and my teen and adult children love too. Anyone who likes game that are active and have you up and moving, enjoy a challenging game or strategy games would love this.
Is It Fun:
Yes we really had a lot of laughs and fun with it. Some of the challenges are silly and really got us to laughing. The anticipation of seeing the cup almost under the water and who is going to make it finally sink is a lot of fun and provided a lot of laughs and good times.
Game play is very simple. To set up the game fill up the tank about half way. Float the cup on the surface. Fill the pitcher up with water (about two thirds full). Place the cards face down and the die next to the sink tank. Start with the oldest player first then move clockwise. On your turn you will roll the die and complete the task. The die includes water drops (you will add the number of drops shown), C (draw a card and complete the task), or a R (reverse the direction of play).
Continue taking turns playing until the cup sinks. Whoever made the cup sink is out and you will reset the game for another round with the remaining players. You will continue playing rounds until only one person is left.
The only concern I would say is that it involves water so make sure to play on a surface you don’t mind getting wet. Other then that it’s a lot of fun and we really enjoyed it.
