I am a super busy mom like most of you out there. We are always on the go and getting dinner prepared and served every night isn’t always that easy. I feel like I end up going back to the same two or three recipes. Finding time to shop is a nightmare, I usually run through the grocery store just grabbing the items I know without little thought. Again, leading to having the same meals over and over again. It’s not that I don’t want to cook, I just have no time to come up with a new meal each week, shop for the ingredients and prepare it all in time to have dinner on the table at a decent time.
Luckily, I came across a really cool delivery subscription called EveryPlate. EveryPlate is much like other meal delivery subscriptions delivering foods to your doorstep to prepare and serve the difference is that they have the same great service but a fraction of the cost. With EveryPlate every plate of food is only $4.99 plus shipping. Do you know how hard it is to deliver a delicious and inspired meal for only $4.99 a plate? It’s impossible without EveryPlate.
The process is really easy. Simply sign up for the plan that fits your family, you can choose from 2 or 4 people a week. I will say that we were impressed with the serving sizes, we got the 4 person box and had plenty of food even had some leftovers. So don’t worry about small portion sizes. Then choose three meals from that week’s menu, each weekly menu features five meals to choose from. I was impressed with the variety. Each meal is five-star, great foods outside of our ordinary.
EveryPlate will ship you all the ingredients you need to make each of your three meals along with recipe cards with instructions that are easy to follow to prepare the meals. Ingredients are fresh every week. They include everything need except maybe oil, salt, and pepper, etc. They even included the milk we needed for our pasta meal. I was impressed, they had it all covered. The send the exact amount you need too which I love, no waste. This is great for a couple that only needs to cook for two. It’s hard to get the exact amount when you do your own shopping, you get stuck buying a full box when you only need a cup. Everything is pre-portioned and ready to go. It makes the cooking process quick and easy. See our unboxing video to see our first box:
So I’m sure you’re asking yourself once you get the box what’s next. You get three meals a week, so I scheduled these in throughout the week to supplement our weekly dinner schedule. When I saw the dinner options I was curious if I would be able to make them but honestly, it was really easy to make gourmet looking meals in our own home. I’m a pretty good cook but I’m not a professional and I was easily able to make these amazing meals in about 30-45 minutes. They include recipe cards for each meal that has a list of the ingredients and step-by-step instructions that are easy to follow. Just follow the directions and in less than an hour, you have a great meal to serve for dinner for the family.
This week we made:
Cheesy Beef-Stuffed Peppers
We really loved this meal. The meat mixture in the peppers was really yummy and the sour cream sauce was amazing drizzled over with a hint of lime. It was one of our favorites. You split the peppers in half and had enough to make eight peppers which made a ton of food, we had leftovers of this which my husband enjoyed the following day.
Steak & Potatoes:
This was my husbands favorite dish out of the three. The steak was amazing. The potatoes had a kick to them, I loved the seasoning. The kale with garlic was so good, it was something I had never tried before and my kids definitely had never had it. So it’s a great way to try need foods too.
Creamy Three-Cheese Cavatappi:
This was the kid’s favorite. It was basically like a gourmet maccaroini and cheese with healthy broccoli in it. We had never had cavatappi pasta so that was new to us, but the kids love the spiral shape it made. Super yummy and full of cheesy goodness.
So as you can see, you get some great meal and they have a lot of variety. I have really enjoyed having these meals handy to make. I also love that we have been cooking them together as a family. The kids love helping me make these and get excited to see what we are going to try next. It has added excitement back into dinner time and given us a chance to bond and have family dinner again. We love them.
The best part is the price of course. These are only $4.99 a plate plus $8.99 shipping. There is no way you would be able to get this much food for that price at the grocery store these days. If you use my code right now you can get a 50% discount meaning you can get it for only $2.49 a meal! That’s amazing. What are you waiting for?
