With the kiddos heading back to school we decided it was time to update their toothbrushes. I’m one of those moms who make their kids take a toothbrush to school with them in their backpack to brush after lunch. I recently found these really great brushes from Colgate that are perfect for kiddos. They come in really fun character themes like Minions and TMNT. The best part though, if your kiddo is like my kids and needs reminders on how long to brush and what to brush their favorite characters walk them through the process of brushing. It’s really cute and my daughter loved it.
The new Colgate talking power brush instructs kiddos where to brush (upper right, lower left, etc) and times it for 30 seconds for each section to make sure they get a full 2 minutes of brushing. It’s a great way to transition kids from having help with brushing to being able to brush on their own.
- Brush Coach– Characters coach your child through two minutes of brushing and congratulate them when finished
- Quadrant Timer– Characters tell your child when to move to and brush each quadrant of their mouth (Top Left, Top Right, Bottom Left, Bottom Right)
- 2 Minute Timer– Characters inform your child when 2 minutes of brushing is up and congratulate them on a job well done. Dentists recommend brushing your teeth for 2 minutes.
My daughter loves these so it’s really easy to get her to use it. She’s a huge Minions fan so she loves hearing the voice commands from the Minions while she brushes. It’s a great way for me as a mom to know that she is getting her 2 minutes in when she brushes away from home at school. So her new Colgate brush will definitely be going back to school with her this school year.
