One of my goals for the new year is to get organized and part of that is setting up a cleaning schedule for our home. As a busy mom I seem to never have enough time in the day to get everything done that I want to. I recently decided to try a new idea when it comes to cleaning and organizing and CDN mini timer is really helping me with that.
Cleaning In a Hurry Technique:
I never seem to have an hour to spend on cleaning but I often find myself with 5 minutes in between other events and activities. So I decided to take a technique I used to prescribe to my patient to fight boredom. The concept is very easy. Make yourself a list of 5 minute activities and post it somewhere you will see it. For cleaning I have come up with a list of manageable 5 minute tasks like folding a load of laundry, picking up the living room floor, or gathering the kids laundry to be washed and taking it to the laundry room. I use my CDN mini timer and I set it for five minutes when I have an extra five minutes to spare and I complete one of the items. I do this throughout the day and you would be surprised at how many tasks I get done just fitting them in while I’m waiting for the next thing I need to do on my schedule. It has really helped me reach my organization goal.
The CDN mini timer is perfect for this because I can set it for five minutes and let it count down, it sounds an alarm that is easy to hear when the time runs out, it’s small and compact so I can stick it in my pocket and carry it with me from room to room, and it has a magnet on the back so I can leave it on the fridge right next to my cleaning chore list so I always know where it is. Plus a bonus, it’s pink!
You can find the CDN mini timer on their website.
