For Family Game Night this week, we decided to do a fun Halloween type game. When I think of things like fear factor and eating yucky stuff it reminds me of Halloween and I recently picked up this fun game called Bean Boozled at Party City. It looked like a fun way to get in the Halloween spirit and play something a little different this week.
Overview:
Bean Boozled is all about eating gross things and taking your chances. You need to be brave to play this one! It’s not for the weak in mind or stomach. You will take your chances with each turn on getting a “good” or “bad” jelly belly. However, it’s a lot of fun and really funny when someone gets a yucky one.
What’s Included:
We got the restock pack (not the actual game)
1.6oz of Jelly Beans
Who Would Enjoy This Game:
This game could be played by any age really, I would just be careful with younger children because the “bad” jelly beans are really yucky and might not go over well for a younger child. My daughter is 8-year-old and thought this was the coolest game ever. If you like trying yucky things and don’t mind if you get a bite of a dog food flavored jelly bean then this game is for you!
Is It Fun:
My kids loved it. So I guess it depends on what you find fun. It’s just for laughs and a good time with the family. We enjoyed laughing at each other as we bit into yucky jelly beans. It’s not my favorite game but it was a fun way to start out our Halloween fun for the month.
Gameplay:
The gameplay is really easy. To set up the game sort your jelly beans into groups so they are easier to find while you are playing. If you have the full game you will use the spinner but we didn’t so we wrote out the flavor combinations onto paper and then just drew one. So if you are playing like we did write out the different flavors and put them in a bowl for drawing.
On your turn, you will draw a paper and choose a jelly bean from that group. There is a picture on the back of the box that tells you what they look like and what the flavors are. Choose one at random and taste it. You might get something yucky like barf, canned dog food, spoiled milk, or lawn clippings. You might get lucky though and get something good like tutti fruitti, coconut, or caramel corn. There isn’t a winner or loser really, just take turns playing until you are finished playing.
Any Concerns:
Oh, so many…..Just kidding it’s all in good fun. Just make sure that if you know your kiddos can not handle yucky flavors that you don’t let them play this one.

This looks like a great game to play on game night, thanks!
I think it sounds fun, I know my Grandkids would love it. I have to get it before Thanksgiving so we can play while we wait for everyone to get there. Thanks for sharing.
