While we were in OKC we stopped at Escape OKC which is an escape room venue. As a mentioned we are big fans of puzzles and games so we really wanted to check this place out. We were looking for something the entire family could do together and enjoy.
The Escape OKC was perfect for a fun family outing. We all had a great time. I wasn’t sure if my 9-year-old was going to be able to solve the puzzles but she did great and had a really fun time. In fact, there were a couple of times she got us unstuck and onto the next puzzle. So it’s great for a variety of ages.
They have five different rooms to choose from including the Mokuzi job, the lost antidote, conquered embassy, hors-d’oeuvres and obituaries and area 405. Each one has a unique theme and fun features to make them each a fun experience. I love that they have so many to choose from so you can go back again and again to a completely different room and experience each time.
We did area 405 and we really enjoyed it. We can’t share much about the room but it focused on aliens and a science lab that you were trying to save by breaking the codes and getting out of the room. A restricted area harbors a dangerous extraterrestrial cover-up. Unravel the secrets to contain the damage.
Playing the game is fun and easy. You have one hour to solve the puzzle and unlock the room. We finished with only a few minutes to spare but we did make it out! They do allow you to ask for hints but you lose four minutes per hint so we only used one hint.
If you are looking for a fun activity for the entire family or a big group of friends then Escape OKC is perfect. We had a blast celebrating the kid’s birthdays there but it’s great for any kind of celebration or just for fun.
