How many times have you been told to change who you are, even something small like change your hair, makeup, what you say or do? I know for my daughter is comes on a daily basis. As a sixteen year old she is constantly receiving messages from her classmates, teachers, community, and the media to change and be what society deems “normal”. I got this shirt for her recently from Cents of Style Be series to remind her to be herself. To live her truth and be her true self with no apologies.
It’s so important to establish a strong sense of self worth and promote a healthy self image in our teens these days. With constant messages coming in from social media it’s so easy for them to get lost in the chaos. I want to make sure my daughter grows up to be independent, strong, and true to herself.
Cents of Style has a great collection of tees in their Be series that feature incredible messages of strength and confidence. Regardless of what your story is and what speaks to you there is a tee that will help to promote and spread your message.
What speaks to you? Please share your own story in the comments about which tee in the series is your favorite and why.
