Today is RAOK (Random Act of Kindness) Day! We will be celebrating all week next week with some fun projects. Doing a RAOK is so easy and it’s a wonderful way to spread kindness. It doesn’t have to be anything big, even just buying someone’s coffee, even just saying hi to someone who looks down can be an act of kindness. We will be doing five different projects this year, one each day next week.
This is always an important holiday for us, I want my kiddos to know that showing kindness is important and an easy thing to do. I try to show kindness every day but it’s nice to go out of our way to do these projects. So if you are looking for some simple and easy RAOK projects you can do with your kiddos feel free to print this packet out and enjoy.

Delivery Person Deserving Refreshments:
We get a lot of packages at our house, with my line of work we usually have someone dropping off a package just about every day. So I thought it would be fun to leave our delivery people some treats this week. We actually do this a lot in the winter and summer when the weather is not so great too.
These are super simple just grab some treats or maybe lemonade and attach these notes. Leave them out by or in the mailbox for them to find. Super easy and I think they will appreciate the treat.
Movie Night Essentials:
This one is my favorite. We love movie night at our house, we do it every weekend. So to spread some love we thought we would give some people a free movie night. Super easy, just attach these to a bag of microwave popcorn and then leave them at a Redbox. We got a free Redbox code and added that to the coupon so they could use it to get a free movie.
Vending Machine Victories:
Have you ever had a vending machine fail? Machine eats your money or your item gets stuck on the way out? Well, this is the opposite of that, it’s a vending machine victory. Gift at stranger a free treat from the machine to show some kindness. Really easy project, I just used a ziplock baggie and left a dollar or two in each one. Attach these notes and tape them to the front of a vending machine.
Ding Dong Doughnuts:
The kids love this one! Grab a few boxes of doughnuts, add these notes to the box. Then visit some random houses, leave them a box, ring the bell, and then run away. Just like ding dong ditch but with doughnuts. You get to have some middle school fun and provide a great breakfast for someone.
The last one if the flower fairies. Get some flowers and add these notes to them. Just hand them out to random people or leave them for people you know need a nice surprise to brighten their day. It’s a pretty cheap and simple way to bring a smile to someone’s face.
I hope you enjoy these. I know we are going to have a really fun week completing all these RAOK projects. Let us know what you are doing day to day to how kindness.
